What is the EnBase OptiSet Plate?In this product, an EnBase gel matrix is implemented into four columns of a standard 24-deepwell plate. From that gel glucose is released enzymatically to mineral salt medium MSM (column 1, 2) or complex medium CM (column 5, 6) during the cultivation. The slow release maintains constant glucose delivery to the medium, which allows growth without oxygen limitation and a constant biomass increase due to the substrate limitation. Column 3 provides space to run cultivations with the customer’s standard medium as control experiment. In Column 4 cultivations are performed in gel-free medium providing better cell growth due to enzymatically controlled substrate supply |
