BioSilta - the company behind EnBase

BioSilta is based in Oulu, Finland – a region emerging as a center of international bioscience development.

Dr. Peter Neubauer, a renowned bioscientist, founded BioSilta in 2007 as a spin-out of Oulu University’s Department of Process and Environmental Engineering. The pioneering company further developed the EnBase technology, enzyme-based substrate delivery, which gives researchers a drastically improved harvest than traditional laboratory methods. BioSilta continues to develop uses of enzyme and biocatalytic activity to advance cell culture technology across a greater range of product formats and bacteria.
