| BioSilta is an ambitious biotech company based in Oulu, Finland – a region already renowned as home to mobile giant, Nokia – and now emerging as an international bioscience hub. BioSilta was formed in 2007 by internationally renowned bioscientist, Peter Neubauer, as a spin-out of Oulu University’s Department of Process and Environmental Engineering. The pioneering company has just launched EnBase – a unique cell cultivation kit which gives researchers a bigger and better harvest than traditional laboratory methods. BioSilta continues to develop uses of enzyme and biocatalytic activity to advance cell culture technology across a greater range of product formats and bacteria. The business has the backing of the Inveni Capital Life Science Fund, a Nordic-German venture capitalist investing in biotechnology start-ups. |
